3 Tips for Glowing Summer Skin

Having luminous skin shouldn’t require a team of experts or deceiving lighting. Follow these 3 simple and effective tips to achieve that radiant summer glow!

  1.     Exfoliate With Baking Soda

Everyone knows exfoliating is important, but do you actually do it enough? Using Baking Soda as a facial exfoliant is one of the gentlest and most natural ways to clear pores and scrub off dead and dull skin cells. Baking Soda is alkaline and softens the surface of the skin, which makes it easier to get rid of built-up dirt and oil. After cleansing, combine 1 tablespoon of Baking Soda with a few drops of water into an even paste, and apply to damp face. Gently massage skin for 2-3 minutes and rinse with warm water. Don’t forget to moisturize!

  1.     Spot-Treat Breakouts

Stop unwelcome breakouts in their tracks with this powerful spot-treatment recipe: Combine a small portion of Bentonite Clay (can be found on Amazon) with water until you reach a nice pasty consistency, and add 1-2 drops of Lavender Essential Oil. Dab onto blemishes, let dry, and repeat as necessary until spots diminish. Bentonite Clay is composed of aged volcanic ash and has the unique property of producing an electrical charge when hydrated, allowing it to absorb toxins. Lavender oil is effective on breakouts because of its ability to calm and soothe damaged skin. Used together, these two ingredients can reduce the size of even the most painful breakouts.

  1.     Keep Skin Hydrated

We’re all eventually going to have our skin exposed to the sun’s powerful rays this summer. The important thing to remember is to keep skin hydrated at all times after any kind of sun exposure with a product that helps to rejuvenate skin cells to lessen the damage. We suggest our Malaya Organics Rejuvenating Face Serum. This face serum is rich with vitamins, minerals, and omega fatty acids that support the lifting and firming of the skin while also deeply hydrating. Apply daily for best results!
