Prep Your Body for Summer: A Guide for Busy Folks

These days most of us are professional jugglers - running between work, home, family, friends, projects; all while trying to be mindful, eating well and staying fit. It’s not easy being super woman/man, we get it!

Now that spring is here and summer is around the corner, most of us want the same thing - to feel good about our bodies, have glowing skin and enjoy fun in the sun! With a busy lifestyle it can be difficult getting into a self-care routine that yields results quickly so we wanted to share some tips on how we get our bods summer ready.

FITNESS

Our fave is the life saving Scientific 7 Minute Workout. It targets all major muscle groups - arms, core, thighs and booty - and can be done pretty much anywhere, anytime.

Push ups not for you? Try a quick Yoga Routine to help with flexibility, muscle tone and easing the mind (a win-win).

GLOWING SKIN

Whether a quick routine or a sweat session at the gym, skin dehydrates after exercise. We recommend rehydrating with skincare containing anti-inflammatory ingredients to expedite post workout recovery.

Our go-to are Malaya Moisturizing Body Oils, which are infused with anti-inflammatory arnica - an ancient remedy used to relieve pain, muscle tension and bruising. Our oils absorb quickly, never feeling greasy, so you can get into your clothes and on with your day in no time.

NUTRITION

We heard it all before, eating plenty of veggies, fruits and staying hydrated is key. But whatever your dietary choices are, the ultimate way to keep body feeling lean, light and energized is minimizing your portions - eat smaller meals more frequently. This may take a few days to adjust to, but once you do, it will feel natural to stop eating once you’re full. Save what you don’t finish, in a few hours enjoy the rest of your meal, and actually fuel your body rather than feel stuffed or sluggish.

No matter how busy life gets, there is always room for quick and mindful self-care rituals. Enjoy the warmer days beauties!
